Profile.

Hi, I'm Miah, 21 year old female that absolutely LOVE to draw! :D
Quite obvious I guess, but still, worth saying.

Anyhow, I've been drawing forever. It started with "head-mans". A ring with two dotts as eyes and a big smile, arms from the circle-headed-man with ~8 fingers on each hand, legs from head and down, and there it was. The "huvudfotingar" (I have no good translation for that).

In gymnasium I were in the arts department. We did a lot more than arts to. In gymnasium you get the basics for about everything - society, maths, swedish, english, etc. My main subjects were maths/economics, psycology and of course everything that is about art 'n design.

Until now I've been a bit here and there. First year after gymnasium I decided to work and think of "what do i wanna do in life?". I were totally confused what I wanted but searched into Uni anyway.. when I got in I figured I didn't think enough tho, so I took another year off from studies. So, I flew to Germany and The Netherlands (at the boarder) and lived there for almost a year, updating my german and I started to study dutch. Great time.
There I finally figured what I should aim for - Illustration, Arts, Psycology or/and Maths/Economics. So now I am searching for programmes in Uni that have most of it together. More I cannot say since I'm still waiting for an answer. :D

Tho - I didn't get in. So no illustration programme for me. =(
But! I'm currently studying interior and shop communication which is pretty fun and very giving. We learn not only interior design, but also marketing, copywriting, economics, etc.

Art Exhibitions:

- 2004 may, we made our own show + an art exhibition. I helped with making the scenery + the art exhibition.
- 2004, december. We (art class) had our first art exhibition in school for about a month.
- 2004, december. We (art class) also had an art exhibition outside the cinema. Indoors of course. ;)
- 2007, 19 jan- 7 feb, art classes 1-3 had an exhibition together.
- 2007, 1-4 march. Me and Jen had our own art expo. 100 visitors and welcomed back by the owners of the exop-hall. ^^
- 2007, 24 march. UKM (a thing for youths where you can participate with arts, music, acting, dancing etc). I competed with 6 paintings and I got to the semi finals.
- 2007, 23 april. 24 artstudents had made icons for a thing in school and the students had voted. Me and another girl won. I got a diploma for that. =)
- 2007, 5 may, UKM semi festival. I got to the finals.
- 2007, 10-12 june, UKM final festival. (exhibition workshop together with other young artist + exhibition)
- 2007, 10 june - 10 aug, Design expo in Virserum. My own designed bags there together with my class: http://www.innersmile.se/Ungdesignfabrik.php
